2018 bay colt by Adaay (Ire)
ex Kuriosa (Ire) (Rip Van Winkle (Ire))
Adaay is a beautiful son of Kodiac and is the first of his sons to go to stud in the UK. Kodiac has reigned supreme for many years as a stallion and there is no reason why Adaay can’t have a big impact. Adaay is out of a Royal Applause mare and he has been hugely successful as a damsire, with the likes of Blue Point and Cappella Sansevero. He was trained by William Haggas to win two G2’s over 6f and 7f.
Kuriosa was a winner at 3 and is a close relation to Kite Wood and Odeon both of whom were very good stakes horses, with Kite Wood winning a G2 and placing in the St Leger. They are from the family of Shadywood who has been a wonderful broodmare with the likes of Indian Haven and Daggers Drawn below her. It has been a very successful family.
This colt has great presence, with a lovely step to him. I saw a lot of the Adaay’s progeny and I thought they looked very racy.
