28th June 2017

After a great week at Ascot, we have 5 runners across 3 tracks.

Stone The Crows

Stone The Crows ran a nice race at Haydock last time behind Sofia’s Rock and in front of the since winner Wefait. We considered the King George V handicap but he wouldn’t have got in and he may not have been ready for the hustle and the bustle of it. Today is a strong race with a couple of intriguing horses in the race and it looks sure to be a cracker. Stone has always shown a lot, but will be a better horse next year due to his size. We had half an inch here last night, and it appears that Salisbury has had some with more coming.

Pow Wow

Pow Wow looks to win his third race in a row at Bath this evening. Things are getting tougher for him as his mark increases, but it would be great if he could win again up another furlong, which should suit.

Bois D'Ebene

Bois D’Ebene found the ground too quick last time out at Lingfield and is better than she showed there. We have removed the hood as she is back in trip. The draw gods have not been all that kind to her.

Abatement has been handed another poor draw, but it didn’t stop him running a blinder last time out over 7f. Today he steps up to a mile which will give him more of a chance from that draw. He remains in good form and has a liking for the all-weather.

Clowance One

Clowance One has his second start after his lay off and ran very well, before just getting tired in the final furlong. Hopefully he can step forward from that and win this evening. He has a good draw and will need to have sharpened up to handle the drop back in trip.
