30th June 2017

After a good start to the week with a winner on Wednesday and Thursday, we send 3 out today.

Pow Wow ran out a taking winner at Bath on Wednesday, destroying the filed by 9 lengths. He appears to be on a serious upward curve.

Makzeem got a much-deserved success at Newmarket yesterday after bumping into plenty of good horses last year and getting set alight by an errant horse/rider at Sandown. Back in trip to 7f, he won well. He may not get into the Bunbury Cup but that could be the race for him.

Sardenya has her 3rd start at Doncaster having run well behind a taking winner at Lingfield who should take some beating in the listed race at Newmarket tomorrow. There are a couple in the race with similar form but if she can take a step forward then she must have a chance of being in the shakeup. The ground is an unknown but the Kodiac’s seem to go on it.

Cribbs Causeway

Cribbs Causeway travelled up to Yarmouth yesterday and has settled in well for her engagement. She won very easily at Lingfield last time when eased down, and is due to go up 11lbs, but only carries a 6lbs penalty today, which suggests she has a good chance.

Solar Cross

Solar Cross won well at Doncaster last time out in a race that is working out well with a few winners coming out from behind him. Today the ground should just be on the soft side of good which will be perfect. He is a fine horse and hopefully he can take another step forward in the right direction.
