After Casement got off the mark at Ffos Las we have 3 runners with chances today.

It’s Not Unusual makes her second start after running ok on debut. We expected a bit more from her on debut, but sometimes on those hot days at Kempton the surface can ride very deep. At the same time, everyone has now seen how good Billesdon Brook is since. Today is a Newmarket maiden and they tend to be as strong as they come. Today she has a good draw, on the golden highway, which has probably been the biggest track bias we have seen this year.  Up against her are some lovely pedigrees and a good word for the Frankel Betty F. It’s Not Unusual is a good mover who will enjoy the quickening ground.

Blakeney Point was so unlucky last time at Goodwood during the festival, when just losing out by a head to Soldier in Action. He has run well all year, and deserves to get his head front again, after his unlucky fourth in the Old Newton Cup. Today the ground is a bit quicker than last time but he handled it at Haydock and Goodwood. Lets hope he goes well again.

At Windsor Second Step has been so consistent all year. He ran into one at Goodwood in Poet’s Word, who is heading for better things, but he ran a valiant race and overturned his Newmarket conqueror. Today he is back on better ground, which suits him a lot better and he is in great form. The track is not as galloping as he would like but hopefully Jamie can work his magic.

Ayrad has been declared a non runner at Windsor due to the ground.
