Quest For More runs in the 4.50 at Ascot. We withdrew him at Haydock because the ground was too over watered, and I have just watched the 1m 6f listed race at Ascot and listened to the jockeys thoughts, and it appears that somehow the ground is now on the soft side of good, despite the fact that we have virtually had drought like conditions. It looks pretty shocking, but it is certain to get wetter in the coming weeks, so we will have to run him. I hope it doesn't hinder him, but I find it frustrating.
Al Kazeem heads from Beckhampton to France at 5pm this afternoon and is good form. We are happy with stall 7, and are delighted not to be in the widest stall as we were last year. A few of the fancied horses are out wide, or very low, so it will be interesting to see how the race pans out.
