Battlement makes her debut at Wolverhampton.

She is from a family we know very well. Her mother, Scuffle, was trained here to be listed placed, and was a sister to Bated Breath and Cityscape, who were also here. On top of that Scuffle has produced two other fillies, in Suffused who won a couple and was listed placed last year, as well as Sleep Walk who won three the year before.

It is early in the year and she may not know as much as she should but we are keen to get a run in to her before the turf season begins. The maidens at Newbury and Newmarket are often competitive and run on soft ground. Stall 1 sound like a good draw, but it is tough for an inexperienced horse, as they start in the shoot and come to the bend very quicly. If you miss it, it is not easy.

Gay Kellerway has a well bred filly in the field and the Hugo Palmer's ran well first time out. I hope Battlement can put up a good showing.
