Blakeney Pointcontinued the run with a taking win at Kempton
Blakeney Pointimproved for the step up in trip when taking his second race of the year. He looked to enjoy the level surface of the polytrack and maintained his consistent record for the year, which now reads as 3 placings and 2 wins from 6 starts. It was great for the owners who have had some progressive horses with Star Fire doing well last year.
Today Eynhallow returns to the track. He ran a taking race last time at Sandown when running on to be fourth in what was a strong maiden. Today the ground will be softer and it is a much sharper track, which may catch him out as he will stay in time. In opposition he takes on First Up who ran well in the Convivial which hasn’t worked out all that well but First Up was slowly away and ran eye catchingly. Be interesting how he copes with the ground. Zainhom ran well in a weaker race, and is by Street Cry who tend to prefer a sounder surface. We hope he can run well.
