She is the first foal out of her dam Langlauf who won 4 times over a mile and is half sister to Fly At Dawn who was placed in a Listed race in the UAE and winner of a competetive conditions race at Meydan worth £48,000 to the winner. She is from the family of the 1,000 Guineas winner Las Meninas. Albion Princess’ grand dam is a half sister to Signora Cabello a winner of four races which include the Group 2 Queen Mary Stakes at Ascot, the Group 2 Darley Prix Robert Poplin in France, the Listed Marygate Fillies’ Stakes at York and placed 2nd in the Group 1 Darley Prix Morny in France.

She was sold at Tattersalls Book 1 to Rabbah Bloodstock for 65,000 GNS and is the first foal out of the unraced Pannonia who is out of Panty Raid the winner of five races. Panty Raid’s five wins included the Group 1 Juddmonte Spinster Stakes at Keeneland, the Group 1 American Oaks at Hollywood Park and the Group 2 Black Eyed Susan Stakes at Pimlico all being in the USA.
She is by Caravaggio who won seven races including the Group 1 Commonwealth Cup at Royal Ascot, Group 1 Phoenix Stakes at the Curragh, Group 2 Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot, and the Group 2 Flying Five at the Curragh. He stands at Ashford Stud in Kentucky.

She is a second foal and a full sister to the unraced Princess Anoushka. The dam Lustrous won twice including the Listed Michael Sealy Memorial Stakes at York, she was also Group 2 and Listed placed. Lustrous was sold at the December mare sale in 2019 for 220,000. Lustrous is a half sister to Melody Of Love a winner of the Group 3 Firth Of Clyde Stakes which is held at Ayr and was placed in the Ripon Champion 2 Yrs Old Trophy 2012 Listed race. They are out of an unraced mare called Tamzin and the dam of 4 winners. Ave Maria was purchased by Blandford Bloodstock for 310,000 GNS at Tattersalls Book 1 sale 2020.

Her dam Momentary was a winner of 1 race over 1 mile 2 furlongs which was a Listed race at Newbury for her owner & Breeder The Late Queen Elizabeth II, Discretion is a half sister to three winners and a full sister to Wink Of An Eye who has won 4 racesby the age of 3 years. Discretion won two races as a three year old and then went on to be sold at the Tattersalls December Mare Sale and was purchased by her current owners and has come back to Beckhampton.

He is a big scopey horse that is well bred being by Frankel and out of Ramruma a winner of the Group 1 Oaks at Epsom, the Group 1 Irish Oaks at the Curragh and the Group 1 Yorkshire oaks at York when in training with Sir Henry Cecil. His dam has produced Flying Cross a winner of two races and was third in an Irish Field St Leger. He was a horse that needed time and after having run three times as a three year old he had two months off before making his handicap debut. The family traces back to Princess Of Man a dam of six winners out of seven runners one being Ramruma.

She is also a half sister to five other black type winners. He is from a family well known to Beckhampton that traces back to the Juddmonte foundation mare Monroe who was bought from Robert Sangster. One of her earlier foals was Didicoy who won a handicap at Newmarket for Jeremy Tree with the apprentice L.Dettori in the saddle. More recently the stallions Logician, Group 1 St Leger winner, Cityscape, Group 1 Dubai Duty Free Meydan winner and Bated Breath,Group 2 Temple Stakes winner appear in the family. The sire Time Test stands at the National Stud and won up to Group 2 level when in training here.

He was purchased at Tattersalls Book 2 sale 2017 for 110,000 GNS by C Gordon Watson Bloodstock. The family traces back to Lochsong a winner of 15 races including three Group 1 races, two Group 2 races, three Group 3 races and a Listed winner. He won twice over ten furlongs when trained by William Haggas in Newmarket. His second dam is the Group 1 Nunthorpe winner Lochangel who is a half sister to the Champion Older mare in 1993 and 1994 Lochsong. They were both bred by Jeff Smith at his Littleton Stud in Hampshire.

He is from the family of one of Sir Henry Cecil’s 1,000 Guineas winners Sleepytime. An own sister to the Group 1 winner Ali-Royal, she bred eight winners from ten runners. His dam Flame of Hestia has so far bred three winners. Sleeping Lion placed 3rd in the ‘Prix Arcangues’ at Deauville with only a qaurter of a length between the winner and himself.

She is from one of Juddmonte’s oldest families tracing back to the 1986 Keeneland purchase of Lost Virtue for $375,000. It includes the likes of All At Sea, Twice Over, Timepiece, Viadera and this filly’s granddam Passage Of Time. Time Lock’s dam Time Chaser is a sister to the National Stud stallion Time Test and half sister to Tempus a multiple winner and Listed placed.

Valsad

He is the first foal to be produced by Vuela for owner and breeder Mr Stuckey. Vuela was the winner of two out of her six career starts and also placed three times. Vuela is the half sister to Volume who is a Listed winner as well as placing 3rd in the Group 1 Investec Oaks and the Group 1 Darley Irish Oaks. Volume produced Quorto who was one of the best two year olds in Europe during 2018, he won 3 races from 3 starts including a Group 2 and a Group 1. Sadly he died at the age of 4 having suffered from a fatal injury during exercise.

He is a full brother to Abstinence who has won once and was listed placed. His dam won twice in France included the listed Prix Solitude at Saint-Cloud.

Withhold

He was purchased by Tony Bloom at Tattersalls Horses In Training Sale and is from a Juddmonte family that traces back to Slightly Dangerous. Withhold won the Northumberland Plate at Newcastle on his reappearance and the rest of his season was geared towards the Melbourne Cup. Unfortunately he broke a blood vessel in the Geelong Cup in October 2018 which ruled him out. Given a break since returning from Australia we have to manage the situation. All in all it was a very frustrating season. He has since won the Listed ‘Jockey Club Rose Bowl Stakes and the Listed Gloriously simple With MansionBet Further Flight Stakes.

He is from the first crop of Blue Diamond’s Beckhampton trained dual Group 1 winner Decorated Knight who stands at the Irish National Stud. His dam Missy O’Gwaun won once over 1 mile 4 furlongs as well as placing three times. She has also bred two winners to date. Missy O’ Gwaun is a full sister to Cosmo Meadow the winner of a Group 1 and big handicap races as well as placing in Group 2 and Group 3 races all in Japan. Missy O’ Gwaun is also the half sister to Knight To Behold a Listed winner at Lingfield, a Group 2 winner in France and placed in Group 2 and Group 3 races in this country.
