A double at Leicester yesterday and three runners head out today
Yesterday we sent two runners to Leicester.
Jumbly made her racecourse debut for owners Emmy Rothschild and Partner in the ‘Longines Irish Champions Weekend EBF Restricted Maiden Fillies’ Stakes’. Despite looking a little keen in the early stages of the race she soon settled, she took up the lead inside the final furlong to win nicely by a length under Trevor Whelan. Not only did she win the race she also won her connections the Great British Bonus of £10,000.
Time Interval was back to the winners enclosure for owners P Inglett, S de Zoete & C Milln in the ‘Leicester Racecourse Live Stream On Racing TV Extra Handicap’. It was his first run over 1 mile 2 having previously ran over 7 furlongs and a mile. He made all and was asked to quicken 2 furlongs from home in which he responded nicely to jockey Trevor Whelan to win by nearly 2 furlongs.
Today we send out one runner to Nottingham and two runners to Newcastle.
Encourage is our first runner of the day and heads to Nottingham to run in the ‘MansionBet Betstival Extra Places Handicap’ for owner H M The Queen. Having always shown promise in all of his runs he finally got his head in front on his most recent start at Newbury over 1 mile 2 furlongs. Hopefully today he can look to make it a double in a field of five runners with a draw of 2. Richard Kingscote will partner him again.
King Of Tsavo heads to Newcastle to run in the ‘William Hill Play Responsibly Racing League Race Five’ for owner Andrew Rosen. He was disappointing on his most recent start when stepping up to 1 mile 4 furlongs. Today he steps back to 1 mile 2 furlongs which is a trip he has performed well over. The race has a field of 12 runners and he’s been drawn 10. Trevor Whelan takes the ride.
In The Breeze is our last runner of the day and runs at Newcastle in the ‘William Hill Lengthen Your Odds Racing League Race Six’ for owners P Inglett, S de Zoete & C Milln. He was stepped up in trip to 1 mile 4 furlongs on his most recent start in which he certainly appreciated as he broke his maiden title on the same day. Hopefully today he can make it two wins in a row as well as making it two winners in two days for his owners following Time Interval’s win yesterday.
