Albion Princess breaks her maiden and three runners head out today

 In Beckhampton News

Yesterday we sent Albion Princess to Ffos Las to run in the ‘Wales & West Horseboxes Maiden Handicap Fillies’ Stakes’ for owner Tony Bloom. She sat towards the rear of the field of 6 runners until making headway around 3 furlongs from home. She was asked the question by jockey Trevor Whelan to take up the lead about a furlong from home. She looked to idle a little in front but won the race in a dead heat with Rikona.

Today we send out three runners between Salisbury and Lingfield.

Sinjaari is our first runner of the day and heads to Salisbury to run in the ‘Tattersalls Sovereign Stakes (Group 3)’ for owner Mohammed Jaber. This season we reverted him back to a mile and he has put in some very encouraging performances which included winning the ‘Coral Challenge (Handicap)’ and finishing 5th in the Royal Hunt Cup (Heritage Handicap). Today he makes his first apperance in Group 3 company in a field of 4 runners. He has been drawn 1 with Kieran Shoemark taking the ride.

Honky Tonk Man heads to Lingfield to run in the ‘William Hill Build Your Odds Racing League R9 (Handicap) (For horses registered to Racing League)’ for owners de Zoete, Inglett and Jones. He is 2/2 on the all weather surface over 7 furlongs. Since his most recent win he has had two starts on the turf which have been a little disappointing but today reverts back to the all weather in a field of 11 runners with a draw of 8. Saffie Osborne takes the ride as well as claiming 3lbs off his back.

Zain Nights is our final runner of the day and heads to Lingfield to run in the ‘William Hill Extra Place Races Racing League R14 (Handicap) (For horses registered to Racing League)’ for owner Asaad Al Banwan.
