Five runners head to Newbury including Jumbly who makes her apperance in the ‘Fred Darling Stakes’

 In Beckhampton News

Today we send five runners to Newbury.

The first of our runners is Jumbly who makes her three year old debut in the ‘Dubai Duty Free Stakes (Registered As The Fred Darling Stakes) (Group 3)’ for owners Emmy Rothschild and Partner . She had a fantastic 2 year old season having had 4 runs and winning three of them which included the Listed ‘Radley Stakes’. On the only occasion she was beaten she did not disgrace herself at all as she finished 4th in the Group 2 ‘Rockfel Stakes’ with only 3 lengths between the winner and herself. The race today is of course very competetive but Jumbly is well and we can only hope that she will put in another strong performance. Kieran Shoemark takes the ride.

Thesis and Metabolt both run in the ‘Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships Maiden Stakes (GBB Race) (Div I)’. Thesis owned by Juddmonte has had one career start so far in which he showed good promise finishing third at Sandown over 7 furlongs. He is a Kingman half brother to Quadrilateral who was a Group 1 winner for us in 2019. Today Thesis steps up in trip to a mile which should hopefully be to his liking, he has been drawn 2 with Ryan Moore taking the ride. Metabolt owned by Kingwood Stud Management Ltd makes his racecourse debut today. He is a half brother to three winners so far ranging in distances from 6 furlongs to 1 mile 4 furlongs. He has been drawn 18 with Thomas Greatrex taking the ride as well as claiming his 3lbs. We look forward to learning more about him today.

Chef De Partie runs in the ‘Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships Maiden Stakes’ for owners Brook Farm Bloodstock. He has just had the one career start so far which was as a two year old. He also showed great promise finishing 5th over a mile at Doncaster with only 2 lengths between the winner and himself. Today’s race has a field of 17 runners and he stays running over the 1 mile. He has been drawn 13 with Hollie Doyle taking the ride.

Our last runner of the day is Valsad who runs in the ‘ Retreat At Elcot Park Maiden Stakes’ for owner S Stuckey. He is also another horse who showed promise when finishing 2nd on his debut over a mile as a two year old. Today he makes his three year old debut over 1 mile 3 furlongs in a field of 12 runners. He has been drawn 12 with Ryan Moore taking the ride.
