Four runners head off to Sandown

Today we send four runners off to Sandown.

Our first runner today is La Pulga who runs in the ‘Esher Cup Handicap’ for owner Mohammed Jaber. He was a winner of two races last year as a two year old with one of them being over 7 furlongs at Sandown and the other being over a mile at Carlisle. Today he makes his three year old debut having been gelded since his last run in October. The race today has a field of 10 runners. He has been drawn 9 and stays running over a mile. Richard Kingscote takes the ride.

Golden Sheen and Time Lock both make their racecourse debut in the ‘Nordoff Robbins Charlie Watts Memorial Fillies’ Novice Stakes . Golden Sheen owned by Merry Fox Stud Limited. She is out of a mare who is a full sister to Second Step a Group 1 and Group 2 winner when in training with Luca Cumani as well as a Listed winner when in training here at Beckhampton. Time Lock owned by Juddmonte is out of Time Chaser a winner when in training here. She is also a full sister to Time Test who was also in training here and now stands at the National Stud. Jim Crowley takes the ride on Golden Sheen and James Doyle takes the ride on Time Lock.

Majestic Fighter is the last runner of the day and runs in the ‘Bet Boost At bet365 Handicap’ for owner Saeed Jaber. He had three runs last season as a two year old in which he won over a mile at Wolverhampton on his second start. Today he runs in a field of 6 runners and steps up in trip to a mile and 2 furlongs. He has been drawn 6 with James Doyle taking the ride.
