Four runners split between Bath and Doncaster

 In Beckhampton News

Today we send out two runners to Bath and two runners to Doncaster.

Our first runner of the day is Princess Lavinia at Bath making her racecourse debut in the ‘Tweenhills Supporting British EBF Novice Stakes’ for owner James Stewart. She is a two year old filly by Bated Breath who was also in training here at Beckhampton. Her dam Lavinia’s Grace was a winner at two years in France over 5 furlongs and was placed five times. Lavinia’s Grace is a half sister to the Listed placed, Guilia the dam of Goodyearforroses, a winner of a Listed race in Canada, two Listed races in the USA as well as a Group 2 win and Group 1 placing. Princess Lavinia is a half sister to Justonefortheroad a winner of nine races, Jubilanta a winner of two races, Shanghai Grace a winner of three races, Lavinia Rose the winner of four races and Magique Touch the winner of one race. Today Princess Lavinia makes her debut over 5 furlongs in a field of 10 runners with a draw of 11. Saffie Osborne takes the ride as well as claiming 5lbs.

Blue Mist is our second runner of the day and runs at Doncaster in the ‘Happy Birthday Tom Booth Handicap’ for owners Juddmonte. He won a valuable event at Ascot last July, he has since had wind surgery and just the one run so far this season which was on good to soft ground over 1 mile. Today he stays running over 1 mile but on good ground to firm ground which hopefully will be more to his liking. The race holds a field of 9 runners and he has been drawn 9. Paul Mulrennan takes the ride.

Ivadream is next at Bath and runs in the ‘Follow At The Races On Twitter Handicap’ for owners S.Emmet and Miss R Emmet. He has been disappointing on his last three runs so today steps back up to 1 mile with blinkers applied. Hopefully the blinkers will help him to concentrate on the task in hand and fingers crossed will see him run a better race. Saffie Osborne takes the ride.

Our final runner of the day is Boltaway at Doncaster in the ‘Watch Free Race Replays On Handicap’ for owners Juddmonte. He has had three runs so far in his career and put in a very encouraging performance on his latest start at Nottingham over 1 mile half a furlong on good to firm ground. Today he makes his handicap debut on a mark of 73 as well as stepping up in trip to 1 mile 2 furlongs. Paul Mulrennan takes the ride.
