Four winners from 8 runners over the weekend and three runners head out today.

We certainly had a busy weekend with sending 8 runners out over the weekend.

On Saturday Blue Mist was back to his winning form at Ascot to take the ‘Moet & Chandon International Stakes’ (Heritage Handicap) under Ryan Moore for Prince Khalid Abdullah. He sat mid field for the majority of the way until making headway 2 furlongs from home. When asked by Ryan Moore to quicken he picked up well to take up the lead inside the final furlong to go on and win by 1 and 1/4 lengths. It was his his highest time figure to date and hopefully he can improve again

Aspetar then made it a quick fire double winning the ‘Sky Bet York Stakes (Group 2) at York for Sheikh Mohammed Bin Khalifa Al Thani. He settled nicely at the rear of the field until  smoothly making headway in the final 4 furlongs to take up the lead inside the final furlong to win nicely by 1 and 1/2 lengths under Jason Watson. It was an impressive victory and we were delighted to see him maintain his incredibly strong form, and prove how straightforward he is. It was his best run of his career and we look forward to having a go at some big pots later in the year.

On Sunday Makram travelled to Ascot to run in the ‘Betfred Treble Odds On Lucky 15’s Handicap for his owners M Al-Qatami & K M Al-Mudhaf. He was held up at the rear of the field on a slow pace, he made rapid headway over 2 furlongs out and led inside the final furlong keeping on strongly to win by 1 and 1/4 lengths under Oisin Murphy. It was impressive off a lay off and it feels like their should be more to come from him for the rest of the year.

Shortly after Makram’s win at Ascot Tamaris ran in the ‘Sky Sports Racing HD Virgin 535 Handicap’ for his owner Sheikh Mohammed Bin Khalifa Al Thani. It was his first time in handicap company off a mark of 64. He sat midfield until taking up the lead 2 furlongs from home and stormed home under Jason Watson to win by 6 and 1/2 lengths. We have a good amount of time to turn him out with a penalty but that will be the idea.

Today we have three runners travelling to Windsor.

It’s A Given makes her handicap debut in the ‘Final Furlong Podcast Handicap (Div I)’ for her owner Prince Khalid Abdullah. She is a lovely Bated Breath filly who’s form is 2 wins from 2 runs. Today is her first run in handicap company off a mark of 82. The ground is currently being called good to soft which hopefully should be to her liking. The race today holds a total of 8 runners, she has been given a draw of 10 with Ryan Moore taking the ride.

Adonis Blue is our second runner this evening in the ‘Sky Sports Racing Sky 415 Handicap’ for his owners Beckhampton Racing. He has had three starts in his career so far in which he has improved on each occasion. He ran well on his last start when the hood was taken off for the first time so it has been left off again today. Today he makes his handicap debut in a field of 14 runners off a mark of 67. He has been given a draw of 5 with Thomas Greatrex taking the ride as well as taking 3lbs off with his claim.

Our last runner this evening is Cinnabar in the ‘Watch Free Replays On Handicap’ for her owner J Stewart and Mrs B Milton. She too makes her handicap debut today in a field of 13 runners. She is off a mark of 59 and a draw of 7. Jason Watson takes the ride.
