Junior Rip heads to Wolverhampton looking for a win

 In Beckhampton News

Junior Rip ran at Wolverhampton three times last year and he returns there today on his second start in a handicap. Last time out he ran well over a mile on bottomless ground at Haydock, in what appeared to be a strong race. Having traveled well he ran out of puff in the final furlong and faded to finish 7th of 15. Today is a much lower grade and it is up in trip which would be more in keeping with his pedigree, being by Rip Van Winkle and a half to a St Leger runner up. Hopefully he can show his best for all his connections.

At Nottingham True Destiny looks to put his head in front after going agonisngly close at Chelmsford last time. He has done a lot of racing on the all weather but he did win a charity race at Newbury a few months back and we hope he is as effective. The favourite is well according to the handicapper but hopefully we can serve it up to him.
