Makzeem heads to Haydock looking for black type

 In Beckhampton News

Makzeem makes his seasonal debut in the Spring Trophy at Haydock. He had a great season last year improving from 90 to 105. He has run in to a few in his career, but hopefully he can have another good season and get his head in front a few times and pick up some black type for Mr Deer’s great family. He has got quicker and quicker through his life and it would appear that he may be a 6f horse by the end of the year, but we will learn a lot today. It’s a competitive race but hopefully he can go close.

Antagonist is also making his seasonal debut at Nottingham having run some nice races last year in good company. He is a likeable horse who should get further. He has a horrid draw for the mile start and will have to bide his time from the gate, as they go hard in to the first bend and we wouldn’t want him to over race on debut.
