Quick fire double with Maurimo and Campari
Maurimo and Campari made it a quick fire double yesterday with Maurimo winning the ‘Unibet Extra Place Offers Every Day Maiden Fillies’ Stakes (Div II) at Kempton under Jason Watson and Campari winning the ‘David Probert 1000 Winners And Counting Maiden Stakes at Chepstow under Kieran Shoemark.
Today we have six runners heading out to Haydock and Windsor.
Our first runner today is Mersin at Haydock in the ‘Racecourse Live Streams On Racing TV Novice Stakes’ for his owner H H Sheikh Mohammed Bin Khalifa Al Thani. He has had one start in his career so far in which he finished 5th at Wolverhampton on the 10th June 2020 over 1 mile and half a furlong. Today he steps up in trip to 1 mile 2 and a half furlongs which hopefully will be more to his liking. His race today holds a total of 7 runners but contains potentially two very good horses. Jason Watson takes the ride.
Our second runner today is the Owners Group owned Hexagon at Haydock in the ‘Every Race Live On RacingTV Handicap’. He had six runs as a two year old in which he stayed very consistent after his first run being placed in the first 3 on each outing. Today will be his first run back as a three year old in a field of 10 runners having picked up an injury at Lingfield. He has been given a draw of 7 with Jason Watson taking the ride.
The third runner this afternoon is Dancing Approach at Haydock in the ‘Watch Racing Replays At racingtv.com Handicap’ for her owners Fishdance Ltd. She has had four starts in her career so far which all have been on the all-weather. Today will be her first run on turf and stepping up in trip to 1 mile 4 furlongs from 1 mile 2 furlongs. Her race today holds a total of 6 runners and she has been given a draw of 7. Jason Watson takes the ride. She will be more suited to this galloping track.
Runner number four is Due Care at Windsor in the ‘Follow At The Races On Twitter Median Auction Maiden Stakes’ for her owners Hot To Trot Racing. She is a Due Diligence filly who had two runs as a two year old last season over 7 furlongs. She put in a promising run on debut to finish 3rd in what looked to be a competitive Novice at Kempton. Her race today holds a total of 11 runners and she has been given a draw of 10. Adam McNamara takes the ride. It is not the strongest race but she may need 7f in time.
Our sixth runner this afternoon is Dancing Harry at Haydock in the ‘Racing TV Profits Back To Racing Handicap’ for his owners Fishdance Ltd. He was a winner on debut as a two year old and had one run as a three year old at Lingfield on the all-weather which maybe didn’t suit him. Today he is back on the turf and stepping up in trip to 1 mile 4 furlongs from 1 mile 2 furlongs. The race today holds a field of 7 runners and he has been given a draw of 8. Jason Watson takes the ride. We hope the ground doesn’t quicken too much for him.
The last runner of today is Gazelle at Windsor in the ‘Follow At The Races On Twitter Handicap (Div I)’ for her owners Dr Bridget Drew & D H Caslon. She has had three runs so far in her career and makes her handicap debut of a mark of 65. She also steps up in trip today to 1 mile 2 furlongs from previously running over a mile. Her race today holds a total of 14 runners and she has been given a draw of 1. Adam McNamara takes the ride. She has done well over the winter and if she can race in the right manner she could run well.
