Siyata breaks her maiden at Ffos Las and two runners head to Sandown

 In Beckhampton News

Yesterday we sent Siyata to Ffos Las to run in the ‘vickers.bet Free Bets With Our Betclub Fillies’ Handicap’ for owners Juddmonte. She made her handicap debut off a mark of 71 over 7 an 1/2 furlongs. She sat towards the rear of the field until 3 furlongs out she was in behind the leaders. She was switched to the outside a furlong from home and ran on well under Oisin Murphy to win by half a length.

Today we send out Barn Owl and Dancing Harry to Sandown.

Barn Owl is our first runner of the day and runs in the ‘Sandown Park Breeders’ Day September 15 Handicap’ for owner Nat Rothschild. He was stepped up to 1 mile 3 furlongs on his most recent start as well as it being his first run back since having wind surgery. The step up in trip and wind surgery paid off as he put in a very strong performance to win the race. Today he steps back in trip to 1 mile 2 furlongs which should also suit him. The race has a field of 8 runners and he has been drawn 6. Fingers crossed we will see him run another strong race. James Doyle takes the ride.

Dancing Harry is our second runner of the day and runs in the ‘Owen Williams Handicap’ for owners Fishdance Ltd. He finished a close third over course and distance on his most recent start but today a tounge tie has been applied. The race has a field of eight runners and he has been drawn 2. Ryan Moore takes the ride.
