Smokey Bear wins again as Quadrilateral heads to the Fillies Mile

 In Beckhampton News

Smokey Bear did the business in style last night at Kempton to win his second novice, which is not easy to achieve. With the help of Tom Greatrex’s claim he put the race to bed easily off a slow pace. He now looks very progressive and an exciting horse for his owners. He has a great mind.

Quadrilateral runs in the Bet 365 Fillies Mile at Newmarket this afternoon. She is 2/2 at Newbury and she now steps up in grade as she tackles G1 company for the first time. She is a great physical specimen and is one to look forward to next year, but she deserved to have a shot at G1 black Type as a 2yo, and was therefore supplemented. She finished her races well and there is no reason to think one mile is not within her compass. That said she is taking on the best fillies in Europe, with the Marcel Boussac not having great depth, it appears everyone has come to Newmarket.  All the fillies have qualities and its tricky to single out any one of them.
