Tempus heads back to the winners enclosure and three runners head out in the rain today.
Today we have three runners with one travelling to Newbury and the other two heading to Yarmouth.
Tempus continued the form of the yard with a facile success at Haydock under a penalty for winning previously. It was an odd race with only 3 runners and not a lot of pace, run on bottomless ground, but he won and that’s about as much as we know! He has a good attitude and he will need to step up when he moves in to handicap company.
Our first runner of today is Wild Cat at Newbury in the ‘Crossland British EBF Fillies’ Novice Stakes’. Today will be her second appearance on the racecourse having ran well at Goodwood to finish 6th on her racecourse debut. This time round she has been dropped in trip to 1 Mile from 1 Mile 2 Furlongs in which we hope may suit her better. The race holds 11 runners and we have been drawn 7. Jason Watson takes the ride. Its tricky to know what ground she wants but she is a light framed filly and she needs to race again.
Our second runner is the Nick Bradley Racing Partnership owned Junior Rip at Yarmouth in the ‘Grosvenor Casino Of Great Yarmouth Handicap’. He ran a good race last time out at Windsor to finish second behind Cherry Cola who we come up against again today. The race has a total of sixteen runners in and we have a good draw of 1. Adam McNamara takes the ride.
The last runner of the day is the Tony Bloom owned horse Tavus at Yarmouth in the ‘Nicholsons Stalham Engineering Classified Stakes’. He has had three starts so far in his career and has an official rating of 57. He has a draw of 3 out of 14 runners. Adam McNamara takes the ride.
