Thesis breaks his maiden at Royal Ascot and Discretion looks to follow his lead today.
Yesterday we sent Thesis to Royal Ascot to run in the ‘Britannia Stakes (Heritage Handicap)’ for owners Juddmonte. He had shown great promise in his 4 runs prior to yesterday but still went into yesterday’s race a maiden. He had some great form going into the race as he finished 2nd behind My Prospero who finished a very close 3rd on Tuesday in the St James’s Palace Stakes (Group 1).Thesis jumped well and raced centre, towards rear, pushed along and headway on far side of group over 1f out, ridden to lead inside final furlong, he did start to hang towards the left as he is still a little green but he stayed on well to win the race by a head under a fantastic ride from Ryan Moore.
