Two runners between Ascot and Wolverhampton

Elegancia is our first runner of the day and heads to Ascot to run in the ‘Naas Racecourse Royal Ascot Trials Day British EBF Fillies’ Novice Stakes’ for owner St Albans Bloodstock Limited. She was purchased at the Tattersalls Book 1 Sale in 2021 for for 285,000 gns and had just the one career start as a two year old. On her racecourse debut at Newbury over 7 furlongs she put in a very encouraging performance finishing 5th. Today she makes her 3 year old debut over a mile in a very competetive field of 6 runners, she has been drawn 6 and has a hood applied. Jamie Spencer takes the ride.

Lillistar is our second runner of the day and heads to Wolverhampton to run in the ‘Sky Sports Racing Sky 415 Handicap’ for owner and breeder Tony Bloom. She is a 3 year old filly by Zoustar and has had three career starts so far all being over 7 furlongs. Today she makes her handicap debut with a mark of 57, she makes a step up in trip to 1 mile 1 1/2 furlongs. The hood has been applied again today to help her settle in the field of 7 runners. She has been drawn 2 with Trevor Whelan taking the ride.
