Two runners to a stifling hot Windsor
Roar (pictured) is a new addition to the yard having joined from Brian Ellison’s. He ran some nice races last year when winning at Newmarket and placing at Ascot. We are on a bit of a fact-finding mission in terms of trip but 10f seems like the right place to start. He has never run on anything faster than good and therefore the ground may be a bit lively for him. He looks very well at the moment and seems in good form.
Kassar made a good debut when winning at Kempton last year before getting beat in a poor race at Lingfield. He came back lame after Lingfield after receiving a few bumps on the bends and it is safe to say that that wasn’t his true running. Today we have the usual issue of having to run in another novice to obtain a mark and having to lump 9-8 around. There are a couple in there with similar form to him who don’t have a penalty, which will make it a bit tough for him but he should run well.
