Vega Sicilia heads to Newcastle

Today we send Vega Sicilia to Newcastle to run in the ‘BetUK Over 40,000 Live Streamed Races Handicap’ for owners John Basquill and Dan Gilbert. Since joining the yard from the Tattersalls July Sale 2022 he has had 6 runs so far which has included a win at Wolverhampton over a mile and 4 furlongs, three 2nds, a 3rd and a 4th. When finishing 2nd on his last two starts he was beaten less than a length on both occassions. Today is his first start at Newcastle with an extra half a furlong to take on but hopefully he will run another strong race today and it would be great to see him back in the winners enclosure. The race today has a field of 6 runners with Vega Sicilia being drawn 6, Cieren Fallon takes the ride.
